"From one generation of care to the next"
Our story begins with co-owner of Merry Maids of Pasadena, Iveth Rivera. She grew up roaming the halls of the homes her mother cleaned across LA, often trailing behind with a rag or dustpan in hand. She admired the difference her mother made in people's lives. The image of hard-working people coming home and sighing with relief at the welcoming sight of a clean space always stayed with her.
After years in the corporate world, Iveth and her husband, Lance, found themselves ready for a new chapter—one grounded in purpose and community. Iveth thought back to those early days, when she saw firsthand how a clean home could bring calm, comfort, and dignity. Together, they decided to return to those roots and give back in a meaningful way.
"Cleaning with care, serving with heart."
At the heart of it all, Merry Maids of Pasadena is about people—the clients we serve, the team we support, and the community we call home. What began with one mother’s example has grown into a family’s shared mission to bring peace of mind and personal connection into the spaces that matter most.
Merry Maids of Pasadena is proud to be an active part of the community we serve. As members of the local Chamber of Commerce, we love taking part in neighborhood traditions—like Sierra Madre’s annual Scarecrow Contest, which we’ve proudly won three years in a row. We also host holiday events for local families and our team (our Halloween and Mother's Day celebrations are a big deal here).
We believe in showing up for our community—especially in times of need. We partner with Cleaning for a Reason to provide complimentary cleanings to cancer patients. During the Eaton fires, co-owners Iveth and Lance, along with their children, came together with their neighbors to transform our office’s storage space into a supply distribution center. And Lance quickly organized a round-the-clock cleaning team to support the convention center while it served as a shelter for displaced residents. These moments have only deepened our commitment to being a reliable and compassionate presence in our community.
For us, community involvement isn’t a box to check—it’s a core part of who we are.
